Nursing Courses After 12th: Eligibility
The basic eligibility to pursue any nursing courses is passing of class 12th from a recognized board with an aggregate of 50%. Further, depending on the level of nursing courses, the eligibility criteria is as follows:
Nursing Certificate Courses, Diploma Courses, and UG nursing courses require all the students to have passed 12th from a recognized board. In some cases students after class 10 can also apply for various certification courses.
For Post graduate courses candidates must have completed graduation with 50%
PhD computer courses can be pursued after any PG nursing courses, the students will have to score 50% in their post graduation
Nursing Courses After 12th Admission Process
Depending on the type of course the admission process varies, here we will discuss them in details.
Certificate Nursing Courses: Applicants must have completed class 10 and 10+2
Diploma: Students must have qualified 10+2 exam with 50% aggregate, or the candidates must have a 2-year experience in GNM/ students who hold a nursing certificate of 6-9 months according to Indian Nursing Council
UG: Candidates with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 with PCB stream. Apart from the general eligibility criteria one has to appear for entrance examination also
PG: Candidates who have passed the BSc Nursing Course, they will also have to qualify in the entrance examinations. They have been mentioned here below in the table.
Doctorate: Applicants must have completed MSc in Nursing
